What?
We live surrounded by catalogue buildings and spaces, cloned designs that could be anywhere because they say nothing about anywhere in particular.
Generic architecture is not just an aesthetic mistake. It is a risk: it costs more, means less and is forgotten sooner.
We also rebel against the bad reputation of construction, with its delays, cost overruns, anxiety and lack of empathy. It doesn’t have to be this way.

We are
We are Amaia and Jokin, with complementary professional backgrounds we met while humanizing the world at Heatherwick Studio (London), working on large-scale projects such as Terminal 5 at Changi Airport in Singapore. We founded Tokitu in 2020 to bring that international standard to Bilbao, personally leading every project.

We are pragmatic inventors: no imposed style or rigid formulas. We design exhaustively and with meticulous control. 3D is not just another tool: every detail is defined and visualized so that everyone understands the project from the same perspective. This is what allows us to protect the project against cost overruns and improvisation, and gives peace of mind to those who invest.
